Den 24:e säsongen av The Ultimate Fighter har spikat sina coacher. Joseph Benavidez och Henry Cejudo pratar om coachrollen, om Demetrious Johnson och om att möta varandra.
TUF 24 kommer att rikta in sig på flugviktsdivionserna, med Joseph Benavidez (24-4) och Henry Cejudo (10-1) som lagcoacher. I soffan på UFC on Fox berättade de om sin syn på säsongen och att kliva in i ledarrollen.

Benavidez: ”It’s pretty exciting to bring some great attention to the division. There is some real talent out there in the flyweight division. Their first fight in the UFC is going to be for the world title, so that has to get people excited.
This will be a great experience for me, being a leader. And when else are you going to have eight flyweight training partners that are some of the best fighters in the world?”
Cejudo: ”I’m going to show them my bag of tricks and at the same time learn from them. You’re going to have great fighters from different parts of the world. I’m going to pick their brain as well.”
De båda flugviktarna diskuterade även regerande mästaren Demetrious Johnson (24-2), som kommer att möta vinnaren i den kommande TUF-säsongen.
Benavidez: ”I know I can beat him and that’s the way you have to think. But anyone who has watched him fight has would have to argue that he’s one of the best ever. The proof is there. I’ve fought some of the best fighters and Demetrious is definitely up there.”
Cejudo: ”He’s a smart fighter. He has good coaching, he’s very strategic. He has proved that he’s one of the best flyweights of all time. I’m curious to see how far this dude can take it. We both want to take him out, but the dude is good.”
Under finalen kommer de båda coacherna att gå match mot varandra, efter att ha umgåtts under hela säsongen. De tror dock inte att det kommer att påverka fighten.
Benavidez: ”It’s not like we’re going to go to dinner or go bowling. It’s always going to be in a competitive nature. It will kind of build up to the fight. This fight has been a long time coming, so I’m ready to wrap the show.
Cejudo: ”It’s a sport. I knew I was going to have to fight him eventually. I’ve been watching this guy since he was in WEC. I knew that one day we would cross paths. And December 3 it’s going down.
