Alexander Gustafsson vilar upp sig efter en av karriärens höjdpunkter då han fullkomligen körde över topprankade Glover Teixeira på hemmaplan i helgen.
På presskonferensen efteråt luftade ”The Mauler” sina tankar kring matchen och passade dessutom på att kommentera en av sina största rivaler, den före detta lätt tungviktsmästaren Jon ”Bones” Jones som just nu förbereder sig inför en titelmatch mot Daniel Cormier.

Gustafsson kallade Jones för en av de bästa genom tiderna men sade att han inte tycker om ”Bones” som människa:
“I don’t like him. I give him that he’s the best fighter of all-time, the best pound-for-pound fighter of our division; of course, everybody knows that,” sade Gustafsson. “He hasn’t even lost a fight yet, he demolishes everyone he fights.”
“But as a person, as a champion … he’s not a champion, in my eyes. He’s not a good person, in my eyes,” fortsatte han.
“That’s why, I always tell the guys, ‘I hope that ‘DC’ wins, because I like the guy, he’s a worthy champion.”
Det tog sjävklart inte lång tid innan Gustafssons uttalanden nått Jones och ”Bones” tog till Twitter för att svara svensken.
Jones sade bland annat att det inte var Gustafssons kondition som gjorde att han inte vann mot honom eller Cormier, utan brist på hjärta.
