Efter att Wanderlei Silva hoppade av matchen mot Mirko ”Cro Cop” Filipovic i Rizin FFs turnering i öppen viktklass planerad till den 29 december kallade Cro Cop brasilianen feg samt hotade med stryk om han dyker upp som åskådare. Nu ger Silva honom svar på tal.
Den 29 december var en andra returmatch mellan Wanderlei Silva (35-12-1, 1 NC) och Mirko ”Cro Cop” Filipovic (32-11-2, 1 NC) planerad för Rizin FFs kvartsfinal i turneringen i öppen viktklass. Men Silva hoppade nyligen av den matchen och ett par dagar senare sade Filipovic att anledningen var att Silva var rädd för honom. Samtidigt gav han brasilianen ett nytt smeknamn.
Men Silva bröt igår tystnaden via en video på portugisiska på sin Youtube-kanal där han förklarar att det var skador efter en påkörning i maj som tvingade honom att hoppa av matchen. I samma video går han rejält till attack mot den 42-årige kroaten.

But what astonished me is that this Croatian, this Mirko Cro Cop guy, called me the best in the world, a legend in front of me, but behind the computer he’s talking a bunch of crap.”
“What kind of man are you to say this crap online and not to my face? Are you only a man in front of the computer, pussy? Who do you think you’re talking to? Don’t worry. It won’t be now, but you’ll get what is yours. I know really well how to catch you. I know you’re afraid of me, coward.”
Enligt Silva själv har han blivit erbjuden $1 miljon men att det inte var okej för honom själv att slåss bara för att tjäna dessa pengar om han inte skulle kunna fightas till 100%.
“I was offered a large amount of money, I was offered a million dollars. I could go in there and see what happens. If I fought 30 seconds or a minute, I’d get my prize the same way. But I’m a professional, straightaway, and I’d never do this not being 100 percent to fight. Everybody knows I’m coming off a serious injury.”
“I’m training well and training to be back to my old shape, the real ‘Axe Murderer’. I won’t fight just to fight, I’m fighting to win. Silva is back. Wait for it.”
