Igår stod det klart att den amerikanska MMA-organisationen Professional Fighters League kommer att köpa MMA-organisationen Bellator. PFL-chefen Peter Murray har vid flera tillfällen uttryckt att Professional Fighters League siktar på att konkurrera med den världsledande organisationen UFC. MMA-journalisten Ariel Helwani var först med att rapportera nyheten under gårdagen.
– Det är officiellt: PFL har förvärvat Bellator, skrev Ariel Helwani på X (tidigare Twitter). Affären är klar. Märket kommer att fortsätta, främst utomlands, med PFL som ägare. Nyheten utannonserades precis via pressmeddelande. PFL-ägaren (Donn Davis) kommer att vara live på (The MMA Hour) i dag för att diskutera allt.
PFL har under det senaste året skrivit kontrakt med flera MMA-stjärnor, inklusive den forne UFC-mästaren i tungvikt Francis Ngannou. YouTube-boxaren Jake Paul har också skrivit kontrakt med PFL. Se reaktionerna från MMA-världen på PFL:s köp av Bellator nedan!

Bellator's roster is good but unfairly maligned.
PFL's roster has bright spots but lots of holes to fill.
Even if rosters are combined, the entrenched fan impression is only UFC matters.
Meanwhile, fighters now have one less real option to negotiate deals with.
