Justin Gaethje tog hem en av karriärens mest imponerande vinster då han avslutade Dustin Poirier på UFC 291.
Lättviktsmötet agerade huvudmatch på storgalan i Salt Lake City och var även en kamp om det symboliska BMF-bältet (baddest motherfucker). Det var dessutom andra gången som Gaethje och Poirier delade oktagonen då Poirier tog hem ett domslut mot Gaethje i april 2018.

Denna gången fick dock Gaethje sin revansch då han i andra ronden bjöd på en spektakulär knockout. En minut in i ronden avfyrade han en perfekt huvudspark som landade hårt och skickade Poirier till mattan. Gaethje hann slå Poirier ytterligare en gång innan domaren gick emellan och viftade av matchen.
