Golovkin has zero chance of winning this fight if he doesn't increase output at least 10fold from where it was in first two. Gave two rounds away #CaneloGGG3
— Kevin Iole (@KevinI) September 18, 2022
All close rounds but feels like Canelo is ahead and slowly starting to build momentum. #CaneloGGG3

Canelo is looking so good. 5-0.
— Ariel Helwani (@arielhelwani) September 18, 2022
5-0, 50-45 for Canelo. Canelo looks like an elite fighter going for a knockout. Golovkin looks like a 40-year-old at the end of it. Something big-time is going to have to change, and soon. #CaneloGGG3

Canelo Alvarez 6-0 up after six rounds vs Gennady Golovkin. Total domination.

Bro no shit GGG is older, why do the broadcast keep bringing it up 💀
— Full Violence ™ (@Full_Violence) September 18, 2022
Golovkin looking slow. No real effective offense period. Not fun. Shutout so far by Canelo
— caposa (@Grabaka_Hitman) September 18, 2022
GGG looks like he has the same chance as HHH would at this stage.
Tough to watch considering how competitive the first two were.

‼️ Canelo Alvarez BEATS Gennady Golovkin by unanimous decision to end their trilogy. Canelo remains the undisputed WBA, WBC, IBF & WBO super-middleweight world champion, despite horrendously close scorecards of 116-112, 115-113, 115-113. Awful judging.
— Michael Benson (@MichaelBensonn) September 18, 2022
Gennady Golovkin has insisted that he will not retire from boxing following his trilogy defeat to Canelo Alvarez.
— Michael Benson (@MichaelBensonn) September 18, 2022
Scores: 116-112, 115-113 twice for Canelo. Not sure WHAT those judges saw
— Kevin Iole (@KevinI) September 18, 2022
There is NO way — NONE — that Gennadiy won five rounds. It doesn't really matter because the right guy won, but man, that's an abomination
— Kevin Iole (@KevinI) September 18, 2022
The 115-113 cards in favor of Alvarez were egregiously bad and are as bad in their own way as Adalaide Byrd's 118-110 card for him was in 2017. Canelo won NO LESS than 10 rounds Saturday
— Kevin Iole (@KevinI) September 18, 2022
8-4 Canelo on my card. GGG gave a decent accounting of himself. Canelo won dominantly but also underwhelmed. Never let anyone on the commentary team near a microphone again.
— Jed Meshew II (@JedKMeshew) September 18, 2022
Those scorecards were pretty bad, right? 115-113 is atrocious.

Canelo always had this fight in his back pocket. Not impressive. Benavidez is the real test at 168 not a 40 year old GGG.
— Paul Malignaggi (@PaulMalignaggi) September 18, 2022
Bad ass fight.. Canelo came with the heat; his pressure, his power👌🏼💥 and GGG was precise with his combos.. WHEN he let go… Amazing fight, Canelo showed why he’s a legend! 👊🏼

116-112, 115-113, 115-113 Canelo Alvarez! #canelovsGGG3 ! Fight was not that close in my eyes!
— Claressa Gwoat Shields (@Claressashields) September 18, 2022
GGG you had a great run. Come back down to middleweight & let’s fight for those belts you still have in December or just pass em over & I’ll look after them for the next couple years while you enjoy retirement… you earned it champ.
