Under onsdagsmorgonen avslöjade UFC-chefen Dana White att Alexander Volkanovski kommer att ta sig an Islam Makhachev på UFC 294 den 21 oktober. Brasilianaren Charles Oliveira har tvingats att dra sig ur matchen på grund av en ansiktsskada.

Det är fortfarande oklart om den obesegrade UFC-stjärnan Khamzat Chimaev kommer att gå match på den stjärnspäckade galan. Enligt Dana White kan den topprankade brasilianaren Paulo Costa tvingas att dra sig ur matchen på grund av en armbågsskada. Det är ännu oklart vem som kommer att ersätta Costa om han skulle dra sig ur matchen mot Khamzat på UFC 294.
