Mike Tysons utspel: "Floyd Mayweather kommer döda McGregor"

Boxningslegendaren Mike Tyson är säker på sin sak: UFC-superstjärnan Conor McGregor kommer inte att ha en chans mot Floyd Mayweather när de gör upp i boxningsringen den 26 augusti. Tyson, som är ett UFC-fan, erkänner också att han är besviken över att man kommer att följa boxningsreglerna. Det uppger han på Barstool Sports’ Pardon My Take Podcast:

“McGregor’s going to get killed. Boxing? I got mad because I thought they were going to use MMA rules against boxing, because that’s what it’s all about — can the boxer beat the MMA guy? But Conor put his dumb ass in a position where he’s going to get knocked out, because this guy’s been doing this all his life since he was a little baby, and Conor can’t kick or grab and stuff. He not going to stand much of a chance.”

”Har aldrig mött en sådan karaktär”

Mayweather vs. McGregor kommer antagligen att sluta som en av de mest lönsamma matcherna genom alla tider. Tyson uppger också att han ser fram emot spektaklet, som redan satts igång genom en fyra dagar lång pressturné. Han hör inte heller till de som anser att matchen förstör för boxningen:

“It’s going to be exciting. The whole thing’s exciting because it’s got a circus-y kind of atmosphere, because you love the fact that you see — Conor’s a character. Like, Floyd’s never met a character like this. … ‘Boy! Come on, what are you talking about, boy?! Yeah, boy! … What do you got a bookbag for when you can’t read?’ And I want to say, ‘hey, man, that’s disrespectful,’ but the thing is, it’s so funny, man, I can’t stop.”

“Listen, there’s no doubt it’s going to put a bad taste in people’s mouth, but it’s going to happen. I never thought it was going to happen. Then I heard about the rules, I said the rules are just sucker rules for McGregor. McGregor took the biggest sucker rules in the history of boxing.”
