Chris Weidman (12-0) kommer att försvara sitt mellanviktsbälte mot Luke Rockhold (14-2) härnäst, men någon som gärna vill utmana mästaren är Yoel Romero (9-1).
Romero tror inte att Weidman är oslagbar, men tycker att Weidman är en bra mästare.

”Chris Weidman, he is beatable,” berättare Romero för Submission Radio genom en tolk. ”He says that everybody is beatable. He says that nobody is invincible in the sport of MMA, that he believes if he was to fight Chris Weidman it will be a 50/50 chance; that he would have 50 percent of winning and so would Weidman. So it could go either way. So he says that he is beatable, but that everybody in the division is beatable.”

Romero vill väldigt gärna möta Weidman, men han vill helst inte möta Jacare Souza (22-3-0-1).
”If he wins his next fight and the UFC decides that he should be up next to fight for the belt, that of course he will fight for the belt. [He says] that he wouldn’t want to fight Jacare; because if it’s a title or fight Jacare, he wants to fight to get the title, because that’s his goal. To be UFC Champion”
