Efter vinsten mot Charles Oliveira (20-5-1) på UFC Fight Night 74 vill Max Holloway (14-3) helst möta Frankie Edgar (19-4) eller få ett returmöte mot Conor McGregor (18-2).
Holloway skulle helst vilja gå match mot Edgar i Hawaii och tror att det skulle bli en väldigt stor match.

“UFC works in mysterious ways; I’m sure they’re going to find something for me,” berättade Holloway för MMAjunkie. “Let’s get UFC to Hawaii, and what better fight than Holloway vs. Edgar in a stadium? It would be huge.”
Holloway berättar att han får offra mycket tid med familjen för att ha en karriär som MMA-fighter.
“All I can say is I work hard; the sacrifice is real, I can say,” sa Holloway. “I spend time away from my family and I’m not going to waste it. I could be at home instead of lollygagging at the gym, I could be at home. I could be with my son and my family and my wife; it’s just sacrifice. To get to the top you have to sacrifice things. I can enjoy everything – all these records – I can enjoy it all later when I’m sitting down and done fighting and happy and getting fat.”
Holloway är väldigt intresserad av en returmatch mot McGregor och hade gärna hoppat in som ersättare för Jose Aldo på UFC 189 om han hade fått chansen. Första mötet med McGregor slutade med förlust för Holloway via enhälligt domslut på UFC Fight Night 26.
“I’d fight him any day of the week,”sa Holloway om McGregor. “Now that I don’t have a fight I can talk how I feel. I’ll fight him any day of the week. UFC could have called me up for the last one (at UFC 189) and I would have taken it. But they didn’t, they chose Chad (Mendes) instead and I’d love to fight him. You want to talk money? Holloway vs. McGregor you got money with the No. 2 of that fight.”
