Josh Samman påverkade människor mycket och nu ska hans liv fortsätta påverka med en fond för att hjälpa unga MMA-fighters.
Josh Sammans död vid 28 års ålder i förra veckan chockade hela MMA-världen. Han dog efter att ha legat i koma i fem dagar efter att ha hittats medvetslös i en lägenhet i Florida tillsammans med ringannonsören Troy Kirkingburg, som dödförklarades på plats. Dödsorsaken är officiellt inte fastställd än.

Nu har Sammans mor Cheryl Phoenix varit med och startat en fond till hans minne kallad Josh Samman MMA Foundation. Målet med fonden är att man ska kunna hjälpa unga MMA-fighters att träna som professionella fighters. I skrivande stund har fonden samlat in $1 352 (cirka 11 800 kr) av målet på $5 000 (cirka 43 600 kr). Under sin karriär gjorde han allt för att hjälpa unga MMA-fighters och hjälpa människor i nöd och detta vill hans mor nu fortsätta med.
På YouCaring.com kan du donera en summa pengar till fonden. En minnesstund kommer att hållas på The Moon i Tallahassee i Florida på fredag klockan 13:00 lokal tid. Det var där han spenderade sina första år som MMA-fighter.

Josh Samman was a talented artist in many aspects of life as well as a huge advocate for the sport of mixed martial arts. In addition to starting an MMA promotion that toured the state of Florida giving young athletes a chance to compete; he spent countless hours doing interviews and writing articles to bring more attention to the sport that changed his life. For Josh, it was about more than helping the sport of MMA grow, it was about helping people in need. Through his promotion he teamed up with multiple local charities, ranging from pediatric cancer to military veteran programs.
It is in this spirit that we have decided to start a non-profit to help young athletes get a chance to have those same life changing experiences. We hope to help cover training expenses, travel expenses, and proper education on being a professional in the sport. Our goal is to one day have a sponsored athlete pass on the good deed to others in need.
We ask that in lieu of sending flowers or gifts to the family for his Celebration of life that you donate to help kickstart this foundation.
