Det var många som var besvikna och riktade kritik mot Jose Aldo (25-1) då han var tvungen att dra sig ur matchen mot Conor McGregor (18-2) på UFC 189, men B.J Penn (16-10-2) är en av dom som inte vill se Aldo i oktagonen om Aldo inte är hundra procent frisk.
Penns meddelande till Aldo nedanför handlar om att Aldo inte ska bry sig om vad andra säger och om kritiken som riktades mot honom.

”Aldo, you’re the old lion,” sa Penn. ”You’re the champion. You’re the one with the record, you’re the one with the gold, you’re the one with all the records. The lion doesn’t care that the sheep laugh at him. Remember that. The lion just stays there. The animals make noise and tease. The guy with the belt is the lion.”
”If Aldo is not 100 percent, I do not want to see him inside that ring,” sa Penn. ”I do not want to see him in that ring if he’s not 100 percent.”
Penn tycker att Aldo gjorde rätt som drog sig ur då han blev skadad, men Penn vet inte själv vad han hade gjort i den situationen.
”I’m not in that position,” sa Penn. ”I cannot speak on that.”
