När den #1-rankade lätt tungviktaren Alexander Gustafsson gästade Joe Rogans podcast så passade de på att prata om allt mellan himmel och jord, från kampsport till jakt. Svensken stannade inte lika länge som Rogans gäster brukar göra men han fick desto större feedback i kommentarsfältet där hyllningarna flödade för ”The Mauler”. Många kommenterade att de ville se Gustafsson tillbaka i buren inom kort och att en returmatch mot den före detta mästaren Jon Jones var en önskvärd fight.

Gustafsson vs. Rockhold?
Gustafsson har inte varit i buren sedan hans strålande insats mot Glover Teixeira där han fullkomligen körde över brasilianaren. Sedan dess har svensken opererats och hamnat i luven på den före detta mästaren Luke Rockhold.
En match mellan Gustafsson och Rockhold kan komma att bli aktuell då Rockhold öppnat upp för möjligheten att möta svensken i lätt tungvikt.
Trots att ”The Mauler” varit borta från tävlan i snart ett år så verkar inte det ha haft någon påverkan på hans popularitet då kommentarsfälten fylls av välvilliga kommentarer till svensken:

I like DC a lot, but right now all i want to see is Gustafsson win the belt. He is humble and great fighter and i think for over a decade of grafting for it, he really deserves it. It would be a special moment.
