Amanda Nunes (11-4) besegrade Sara McMann (8-3) via submission i första ronden på UFC Fight Night 73 och Nunes har siktet inställt på att snart få möta Ronda Rousey (12-0).
Nunes tror att hon är nära en titelchans och tror att hon är en match ifrån att få slåss om titeln.
“I’m close now,” sa Nunes. “I see she has a fight coming up. I’m happy to have one more fight. Whatever happens, I’m going to be ready.”
Nunes känner att hon inte behöver trashtalka så som Bethe Correia (9-1) gjorde.
“I don’t need to talk,” she said. “I’m going to step into the cage and do my thing. My next fights are going to be like this: I’m going to win more bonuses and knock people out. For sure, I’m going to have my title shot soon.”
Nunes skulle gärna möta någon som är rankad 5 och högre om det skulle leda till en titelchans vid vinst. Nunes tror att en match mot Rousey skulle bli en bra match och tycker att Rousey har förbättrat sin striking.
“I’ll take it,” she said. “Cat, Alexis Davis. There are a lot of girls in the top five that I would take.”
“I keep getting better, and I have pretty good striking,” sa Nunes om en potentiell match mot Rousey. “I think it’s going to be a very good match, because background is in judo and jiu-jitsu, like Ronda. She’s now better in striking. That’s why it’s going to be good.”
