Superior Management meddelar att Matti Mäkelä är inbokad för match den 14 juni på Revolution Fighting Championships i Manama, Bahrain. Motståndet kommer egyptiern Mahamed Ali att stå för.
Makelä (10-10) gjorde sitt senaste framträdande i buren på Superior Challenge 7 mot Hector Ramirez för lite över ett år sedan och matchen slutade tråkigt nog efter ett missförstånd mellan Mäkelä och hans hörna som trodde han var skadad och kastade in handduken.
”One should never underestimate an opponent, but I’m pretty confident that this will be a quick win for Matti. He is, despite his 28 years one of Sweden’s most experiensed fighters, one of Omar Bouiche’s first students at Pancrase Gym Sweden, and he has fought 95% of his bouts outside Sweden, under rules that allows elbows, stomps etc. against tough opponents. The interesting thing with Matti is that he performs best when he’s angry. When his Finnish blood starts to boil, there is not so many people who can stand in his way.”, säger Babak Aghavali för Superior Group International om Mäkelä.
Själv är han mer fåordig men tydlig gällande den kommande matchen.
