“I just need to get better at what I’m good at,” berättade Markos. “And I just need to believe in myself. That’s the biggest thing. I didn’t trust in my abilities before, and that’s why I moved to Montreal (where she spent time training at Tristar).
“I thought there was something more for me, something I was missing. I went out there and I realized what I need to work on here – and I came back stronger, mentally, and just knowing myself more. I just need to believe in myself.”
“I didn’t really research her,” sa Markos. “I went back to the old me of not looking at my opponent at all, not knowing. Of course my coaches studied her a bit, but I didn’t want to know anything. I just went in there with what I’ve been learning and believing in myself.”
“Definitely, I’ve been asking for that fight for a little while,” sa Markos. “And I would love to fight her if she’s willing to come forward and fight me.”
