Daniel Cormier, Ovince Saint preux och Jon Jones var alla medverkande på kvällens avsnitt av The MMA Hour och Cormier skickade en inbjudan till OSP om att träna med honom i San Jose. Svaret kom omgående och Jones hade självklart något att säga om detta.
Alla tre involverade i huvudmatchen på UFC 197 den 23 april var med i kvällens The MMA Hour med Ariel Helwani och Daniel Cormier (17-1) pratade om skadan som tvingade honom att dra sig ur titelmatchen mot Jon Jones (21-1) på UFC 197 senare denna månad. Ovince Saint Preux (19-7) blir Cormiers ersättare och matchen blir istället en interimtitelmatch. Cormier överraskade oss under The MMA Hour när han meddelade att han vill hjälpa OSP med förberedelserna inför matchen med att bjuda in honom till American Kickboxing Academy i San Jose, Kalifornien så att han kan få en större chans att ge Jones spö.

”Listen, nobody wants to fight Jon Jones worse than I do so if I can live through Ovince on April 23rd I will live through Ovince on April 23rd. He can take my training camp. I thought that we had finally the perfect mixture of what we needed in order for our preparation so, yes, Ovince can have my training camp.”
Hela teamet är villiga att ta hand om allt, som flygbiljetter och boende.
“We have everything in place where he can just take my training camp. For the next few weeks, take my training camp. We will take care of it. We will fly Ovince and his team out here, give him a place to stay because no one in this gym wants to see Jon Jones not have to fight a tough fight on April 23rd.”

”His inviting OSP to his training camp shows me that he’s so grateful that he’s not fighting me in three weeks. That he’s so grateful that he gets to have one more family photo-op with that belt, because he knows that he’s not going to beat me, especially now with a knee injury. He’s going to be nursing his knee to get back to 100-percent. I’m going to just be getting stronger, better, faster, more rehearsed in my gameplan to beat him.”
”So, Daniel, man, he’s a mental midget. I’m not worried about Daniel. Obviously him inviting OSP shows that he’s so lucky he’ll be watching from the sidelines and not actually in that cage with me.”
