MMA-journalisten Jeremy Botter berättade under gårdagen att han tror att Conor McGregor är på väg bort från UFC.
MMA-journalisten Jeremy Botter, som var den förste som kunde avslöja att Conor McGregor skulle möta Rafael dos Anjos om lättviktsbältet vid UFC 197: dos Anjos vs. McGregor den 5 mars 2016, berättar i podcasten ”The Weigh-in Podcast” att han inte tror att Conor McGregor kommer att stanna i UFC mycket längre till, och att det uppstått en konflikt mellan UFC och McGregor. Botter säger att McGregors mål egentligen är att arrangera sina matcher på egen hand genom sitt företag ”McGregor Sports and Entertainment Limited”, och att McGregor sagt att han inte kommer att fightas i Croke Park hemma i Irland förrän han är sin egen:

”Conor McGregor does not plan on being in the UFC for very much longer. I don’t know if it’s going to be this year or next year but Conor McGregor’s end goal is to promote his own fights. Den irländska Podcasten “Off The Ball”, lyckades under gårdagen få tag I Jeremy Botter, som utvecklade sitt resonemang från The Weigh-in Podcast, och bland annat berättade att McGregor har uteslutit UFCs President Dana White från McGregors kontraktförhandlingar:
“I believe that things between Conor and Lorenzo Fertitta are okay but, from what I understand, Dana White has been frozen out of the process entirely and I don’t know why.”…“There was going to come a point where… they’ve created this and now they can’t put it back in the cage.”…”White and the Fertitta’s went out and were Conor’s best friends – you’ve seen the video of him driving with Dana down the strip and they’re hanging out at his house when he was training here last year”….“They thought they had a new best friend but what they actually had was a guy that wanted to be their business partner.”
Rykten om att det uppstått en konflikt mellan “The Notorious” och UFC började att cirkulera under december förra året och det faktum att Dana White inte fanns med och svarade på frågor vid presskonferensen efter UFC 194: Aldo vs. McGregor, samtidigt som Frank Fertitta sågs kasta fjäderviktsbältet i marken när McGregor knockade Aldo, samt Jeremy Botters påståenden kan vara indikationer på att det stämmer.
